In current era where digital wave sweeps across the globe, we still have 300,000 Chinese character books publishing every year, with 7 billion printed copies entering the market. Bookstores are igniting waves of enthusiasm and challenging the traditional functions of bookstores through narrative space designs. Renowned designer Freeman Lau, along with architectural and cultural critic Charles Lai and special guests, will lead us in exploring and rediscovering the unique significance of physical books and reading spaces in contemporary society. Welcome to join the discussion and explore innovative designs in the Chinese character book publishing market, evolution of reading culture, transformation of bookstores, and reimagination of reading spaces in urban environment.
