Operated by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), DX design hub (the Hub) is a dynamic landmark in Sham Shui Po dedicated to nurturing emerging design talents and fashion designers, providing them with the essential groundwork to launch their careers and establish their own businesses. Our mission is to foster an environment rich in creativity and collaboration, facilitating valuable exchanges among designers and industry stakeholders, and enabling the Hub to become the creative anchor in Hong Kong.
We offer an exhibition and activity space that is open to the public, showcasing the synergy between fashion design and its upstream and downstream industries, as well as across different design disciplines. The Hub not only highlights innovative design practices but also serves as a vibrant platform for community engagement and creative tourism. In addition, the Hub functions as a central workstation for HKDC and other industry players, leading initiatives that promote fashion and diverse design projects. A dedicated retail area within the Hub allows designers to gain hands-on sales and marketing experience, enabling them to engage directly with customers. This direct interaction accelerates product development and helps designers establish their start-up businesses in the market.
With the special designed zoning of Fashion Pop-up, Community Hub, DX Gallery, DX Museum, Immersive Space, Grand Stairs, Designer Lounge, Library (book and material) and more, we aim to promote a rich culture of design that inspires creativity and innovation.
The construction work of the Hub is undertaken by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), ensuring a state-of-the-art facility that supports our vision. The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is responsible for strategy formulation, coordination, and supervision, guiding the Hub's initiatives to align with industry needs and aspirations.
