Call for Proposal: Public Relations Services for DFA Awards 2025

HKDC is now inviting interested parties to submit proposals for providing Public Relations Services for DFA Awards 2025, an international prestige award to honour and acknowledge design leaders and projects with potential to improve the quality and vibrancy of life in Asia, as well as to recognise the rising force of emerging Hong Kong designers.

In 2003, Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) has launched the DFA Awards to underpin the role of designers in society, to celebrate outstanding user-centric design projects that embrace unique Asian perspectives for the society betterment, as well as to recognise the rising force of emerging Hong Kong designers. The DFA Awards, through its seven major award programmes, has grown in its international influence in Asia.

HKDC Call for Proposal: Provision of Curation, Design, Production and Management Services for ‘Exhibition Celebrating Hong Kong Design and Culture’ in The Gallery and The Box at DX design hub

Operated by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), DX design hub in Sham Shui Po nurtures emerging design talents and fashion designers, fostering creativity and collaboration. Showcasing the synergy between design disciplines, it serves as a vibrant platform for community engagement and creative tourism.

HKDC is inviting proposals for the Curation, Design, Production, and Management Services for the ‘Exhibition Celebrating Hong Kong Design and Culture’ at The Gallery and The Box in the DX design hub. Scheduled for December 2025, this initiative aims to showcase Hong Kong’s iconic identity and its design ecology through a physical exhibition and a digital interactive experience.

The exhibition will feature elements of Hong Kong’s cultural heritage, such as neon lights and bamboo scaffolding, and honour traditional craftsmen while celebrating contemporary designers. It will also include interactive elements for an engaging visitor experience. Proposals should encompass significant exhibits from collectors and newly commissioned pieces, with an emphasis on connections to the local Sham Shui Po neighbourhood. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals for the physical exhibition that include significant exhibits from collectors of historic items as well as pieces newly designed and commissioned specially.

Please note that other initiatives (outside of the scope of this request for proposals) include an exhibition focusing on design elements from Italy, Business of Design Week partner country; an exhibition from HKDC’s GBA programme; and, a networking event in the DX design hub for over 500 guests in the evening on 3rd December 2025. Interested parties are encouraged to join the briefing sessions outlining the Call for Proposal process.

HKDC is now inviting interested parties to submit proposals for providing Provision of Planning, Curation, Design, Production Supervision and Management Services for Greater Bay Area Programme 2025/26 for DX design hub at 2/ F  ( The Design Museum) . The programme aims to build on the strength of Hong Kong’s cultural DNA of “East meets West” and HKDC’s over 20+ years of experience with established branded programmes such as Business of Design Week, Design for Asia and Fashion Asia. Through exploration, engagement, exchanges, exposition, the progarmme’s goal is the enablement of Hong Kong’s design industry in playing key roles the in GBA- as a value-enhancing super connector linking design with manufacturing, marketing and trade not only within the ultra-competitive, fast-changing and high-volume region, but also with other diverse cultures internationally. The programme also envisages connections to be made with stakeholders in the region at different levels, including policy makers, industry, institution, from design masters to future generations of designers.

【HKDC Request for Proposals: Event and Public Relations Management for "Hong Kong Night" (Working Title)】

Operated by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), the DX design hub serves as a vibrant nucleus for creativity, dedicated to nurturing emerging design talents and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration. HKDC is now inviting proposals from experienced service providers for the comprehensive event and public relations management of "Hong Kong Night" (Working Title), a prestigious evening celebrating a milestone moment for Hong Kong’s design scene.

With the aim of creating an unforgettable and seamlessly executed experience, the event will include an outdoor stage with coordinated road closure arrangements, product displays, and live performances. The service provider will play an instrumental role in orchestrating these elements and implementing a live streaming strategy to ensure all guests throughout the venue can witness the ceremonies, thereby maximizing local and international exposure for these cornerstone events. HKDC will provide resource support to the selected service provider to further promote the growth of the design community.

HKDC Calls for Proposals: Retail Consignment for DX design hub "The Fashion-Pop" [Application Deadline Extended to 6pm, 15 September 2025 (Mon)]

Operated by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), DX design hub in Sham Shui Po nurtures emerging design talents and fashion designers, fostering creativity and collaboration. HKDC is inviting Hong Kong design talents to submit retail proposals for the upcoming happenings at The Fashion-Pop, DX design hub on 10 October to 30 November 2025.

 With an aim to create a unique multi-brand retail destination, we encourage local design talents to transform The Fashion-Pop by showcasing and selling your fashion and lifestyle products. HKDC is now offering a rental waive-off to support the local design community. Application is open to local independent design brands*, widening the product exposure, and arousing public awareness of the designer.
