Presented by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and Macao, and promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, two remarkable exhibitions — 'FABRICa: Italian Textile Style and Innovation' and 'Engineered Reverie: Hong Kong Textile Futures’ exhibition, officially opened on 24 October.

Conceived by CMS. Cultura, designed by architect Corrado Anselmi, and curated by Giulia Fortunato, FABRICa unfolds across six immersive modules that trace centuries of textile history while showcasing innovations shaping tomorrow and ‘Engineered Reverie: Hong Kong’s Textile Futures’ exhibitions, curated by Elaine Yan Ling Ng of The Fabrick Lab, offer an extraordinary journey through the artistry of Italian and Hong Kong textile craftsmanship, tracing the industry’s role in shaping cultural and economic identities while exploring innovation the future.

The opening was filled with energy and inspiration, as distinguished guests from the design, cultural, and diplomatic communities gathered to mark this cross-cultural celebration of textile artistry. From Italy’s rich textile legacy to Hong Kong’s visionary design, the exhibitions sparked meaningful dialogue and creative exchange.
