Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Manager and team to support planning and delivery of events and outreach programmes.
Assist in the execution of complex events and exhibitions from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with outreach goals.
Assist the Manager in conducting research related to projects to inform planning, content development, and strategy.
Provide high-level administrative and operational support to improve event programme quality and stakeholder engagement.
Prepare detailed event-related documentation, ensuring strict compliance with operational and financial procedures.
Assist with budget monitoring, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability for outreach initiatives.
Proactively support outreach efforts by engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders, particularly in Greater Bay Area and international networks.
Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
Recognised university degree or equivalent experience in relevant disciplines such as event management, communications, business administration, or related fields.
Minimum 4 years of experience supporting event/project management, preferably in creative, marketing, or NGO sectors.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent in Mandarin.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with event management tools is preferred.
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
Positive attitude, proactiveness, and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
