Role Overview

The DX design hub is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Project Executive to be the engine of our Operations & Events team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of venue and event management within a leading design community. You will provide essential support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hub and the flawless execution of our diverse programming.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Support: Assist with the daily opening and closing procedures of the hub, ensuring all spaces (including exhibitions, workshops, and the Lounge) are presentable, functional, and ready for visitors.
  2. Event Logistics: Provide on-the-ground support for events, including managing equipment setup/breakdown, coordinating signage, preparing materials, and assisting with guest registration.
  3. Vendor Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors on event days, directing them and ensuring they have what they need to perform their services efficiently.
  4. Visitor Experience: Assist in delivering a warm, welcoming, and informative environment for visitors, ensuring a positive experience. Provide support in carrying out community engagement initiatives to enhance the visitor journey. Help with day-to-day operational needs and contribute to maintaining service standards.
  5. Administrative Duties: Provide crucial administrative support to the team, including maintaining inventory lists, updating event schedules, processing petty cash, and managing RSVP lists.
  6. Safety & Maintenance: Conduct daily checks to ensure the hub is clean, safe, and compliant with regulations. Report any maintenance issues, technical faults, or safety hazards to the Senior Project Executive immediately.
  7. Equipment Handling: Assist in the setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of audiovisual (AV) and technical equipment under supervision.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with and provide support to the Senior Project Executive, Manager, and other team members on a variety of ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

 

Requirements:

  1. A recognised degree graduate. Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Min. 2 years of experience in a customer-facing, operational, or event support role. A passion for the design, arts, or cultural sector is a strong advantage.
  3. Fluent in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua) with excellent verbal and written proficiency in both languages.
  4. Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  5. A proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn and take on varied tasks.
  6. A strong communicator and natural relationship-builder, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
  7. Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  9. Flexibility to work 5 days on shift duty at the DX design hub, including weekends and public holidays.
  10. Hands-on role requiring on-site presence during exhibitions and events.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of digital skills including proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva for basic graphic design is an advantage.
  12. Certification in First Aid is a plus.
