Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. We are on a public mission to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to foster innovation, create business value and improve societal well-being.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the execution and delivery of the planned empowerment programmes, events, media and recruitment activities of the programme to enhance the programme’s reach and effectiveness;
2. Lead the event management of Kick-off and Graduation ceremony, pitching event as well as Mainland & Overseas Outreach Programme to ensure they run strategically and effectively;
3. Establish and maintain strong effective communication internally and externally with industry leaders and partners to maximise impact and awareness of the programme;
4. Formulate strategies for social media and promotion of the events;
5. Plan and execute recruitment campaigns to attract high-potential designers to the programmes;
6. Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

 Requirements:

1. University degree with at least 8 years relevant experience in general management, marketing, event or project management in which at least 3 years at supervisory level;
2. Practical experience gained in NGO/NPO, tertiary education institutes, professional bodies or public sectors is desirable;
3. Substantial experience in entrepreneurship nurturance is an absolute advantage;
4. Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
5. Have a good sense of strategic thinking, risk management and cost planning; and
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
