Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. The Roles:
Provide execution and operational support to the Project Manager to ensure timely delivery of all project milestones and deliverables.
Support logistics, coordination, stakeholder liaison, progress tracking, evaluation, and reporting, ensuring compliance with governance and administrative standards.
Assist in event operations, including coordinating fashion exhibition setup and breakdown, managing hospitality arrangements (e.g., travel and accommodation for international designers, delegates, and media), overseeing local insurance coordination, and handling on-site guest registration.
Compile and manage designer assets (e.g., lookbooks, biographies, technical specifications) and maintain day-to-day communication with participating brands.
Execute PR and marketing initiatives for the exhibition to enhance brand visibility, media coverage, and audience engagement.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
University degree or above in marketing or event planning, preferably within the cultural or fashion-related industries;
Outstanding command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders;
Proactive and resourceful team player with strong interpersonal and tactful communication skills, adept at engaging diverse communities, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Responsible and detail-minded self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
Culturally sensitive with a keen awareness of emerging trends, social movements, and technological developments shaping the creative and fashion industries.
Good knowledge of global fashion communities, industry events, and key players; stays updated on fashion trends.
Interested in supporting the fashion industry and cultural exchange, with an understanding of Hong Kong and international fashion scenes.
Adaptable and agile in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with a continuous learning attitude and openness to innovation.
