Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. We are on a public mission to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to foster innovation, create business value and improve societal well-being.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support programme development and content creation for HKDC’s annual flagship programme, Business of Design Week (BODW), and its affiliated programme, bodw Future Lab, and provide editorial and content management support for its digital design knowledge platform, bodw+;

  2. Conduct research on emerging design trends and develop relevant content ideas and insights;

  3. Assist in programme planning and coordination, and manage assigned projects and tasks to ensure smooth and timely execution;

  4. Liaise and coordinate with local and international speakers, partners, and PR and Marketing agencies;

  5. Create, edit, proofread and translate content, ensuring timely delivery of multimedia materials across platforms, including editorial features, website content, marketing collateral and videos;

  6. Perform ad hoc duties and other assignments as required

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above; qualifications in Communication, Languages, Design, Creative Industries, Cultural Management, or a related discipline will be an advantage.

  2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the project Management, programme coordination, or content development-related roles (experience in media, marketing, creative or content agencies is an advantage). Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Project Assistant.

  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  4. Strong copywriting, creative writing, and content development skills are essential;

  5. Proactive and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage tactfully with communities, stakeholders and cross-functional teams;

  6. Keen awareness of emerging trends, social movements and technological developments shaping the design and creative industrials;

  7. Knowledge of global and local design and creative communities, major industry and key players, with an interest in multidisciplinary creative trends, is an advantage;

  8. Responsible, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills;

  9. Adaptable and agile in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a continuous learning mindset and openness to new ideas and innovation;

  10. Immediate availability is preferred.
