The Roles:
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Event and Marketing team for HKDC’s flagship programmes: Business of Design Week (BODW) and bodw+ (digital design knowledge platform);
- Hybrid event management including onsite logistic management, stimulcast interpretation, livestreaming, ticketing etc;
- Communicate with strategic partners including TV broadcaster, event management, travel agencies, website developer, etc;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure smooth collaboration and delivery of services;
- Ensure seamless integration of virtual and physical event components to deliver a cohesive and high-quality experience for global audiences;
- Financial report and budget control;
- Development of industry network and management of sponsorship and partnership;
- Liaises and coordinates with internal teams and external parties across public and private sectors; &
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
- University graduate or above or equivalent;
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in event management, project management, creative agency or related fields; With at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role;
- Seasoned experience in planning and delivery a hybrid programme, international conferences and events of different scales with both physical and digital components;
- Familiar with event technologies, including livestreaming platforms, ticketing systems, and virtual event tools;
- Creative leadership, strong organization, coordination, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills;
- Can-do attitude with professionalism and accountability to meet statutory, industry code of conduct, internal reporting and compliance requirements;
- Well organized and able to meet deadlines; &
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.
