Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the Event and Marketing team to support the planning and execution of HKDC's flagship programmes, including Business of Design Week (BODW), and its affiliated programme, bodw Future Lab, and its digital design knowledge platform, bodw+.
  2. Report to the Senior Manager and Manager of the team, providing administrative and operational support across the event lifecycle.
  3. Support end-to-end event management, including onsite logistics coordination, vendor liaison, and post-event follow-up.
  4. Assist in financial reporting and budget monitoring for events, ensuring accurate tracking and timely submission.
  5. Support marketing initiatives, including social media content coordination, eDM blasting, website and database maintenance (e.g., attendee records, contact databases).
  6. Coordinate with external suppliers and service providers (e.g., TV broadcasters, event management companies, travel agencies, production houses) to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  7. Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders across public and private sectors to facilitate collaboration and information flow.
  8. Perform ad hoc duties and other assignments as required.

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above; qualifications in Communications, Creative Industries, Marketing, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the event management, creative agencies, NGOs, marketing support, or related fields.  Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Project Associate.
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
  4. A team player with strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  5. Can-do attitude with professionalism and accountability, able to meet statutory requirements, internal reporting standards, and industry codes of conduct
  6. Able to work independently, attentive to details, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  8. Familiarity with social media platforms, eDM tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), or CMS systems is a plus
  9. Immediate availability is preferred
