Design District Hong Kong (#ddHK), a creative tourism project, offering an authentic experience to tourists, blending HK’s creativity with the rich history, genuine local culture and the communities.

Under the theme of #ddHK 2019-20, “POP”, we target to launch a series of creative programme, includes but not limited to fashion presentation, weekend markets/pop-ups, performance, workshops, public engagement activities, and designer products, etc., to bring Sham Shui Po back to the stage as the inspirational heart for creativity and design of the city.  And aim to engage local communities, organisations and experts to revisit and revive Sham Shui Po through showcasing the authentic local creativity via different creative approaches and media.

We are now launching a selection procedure to appoint a passionate and professional curatorial and event management team to carry out the assignment of curatorship (working closely with HKDC curator), artistic direction, programme & content development, public engagement, project and event management, artists (in particular local comics) and designers management, event design, production, and PR & marketing for the #ddHK Fashion Events at Sham Shui Po 2019-20.

Total budget of the proposal (all inclusive) – Max HK$ 5,000,000

Who can participate?

 

Individual Applicant

Resident of HKSAR

Aged 18 or above

Design Curators, Fashion Designers, Artists, Craftsmen, Event Producers, Art Educators, Cultural specialist or in related professions

Legal Entity

Legal organisation, group, association or business based in Hong Kong

Hong Kong registered with effective Business Registration/ or with equivalent certificate and document/ or with office bearers/ or with legal representatives

Selection Process

Stage 1 – Expression of Interest (EOI)

Interested party shall submit EOI (FORM A, FORM B and FORM C) as specified in submission requirements   to Hong Kong Design Centre office by  5pm on 2 Apr 2019 (Tuesday).  

 

Stage 2 – Final proposal

The shortlisted tenderers shall develop and submit the final proposal and the related budget breakdown by  5pm 3 May 2019 (Friday) .   All  shortlisted tenderers will be invited to a vetting presentation (tentatively on 7-8 May 2019).

 

HKDC shall have no obligations whatsoever to accept the proposal with lowest price or to accept any proposal at all.
