Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support for audio-visual equipment including but not limited to microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, LED displays, digital signage, video conferencing equipment, A/V control systems, and related A/V hardware;
Set up, operate, test, configure and dismantle (if necessary) audio-visual equipment for meetings, workshops, presentations, events, exhibitions, hybrid sessions and other events/activities required by HKDC Limited to ensure optimal performance;
Conduct routine inspection, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime;
Monitor the performance of system maintenance contractor for smooth installation, cabling, testing, commissioning, and system upgrades;
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly during live activities to minimize disruption;
Support hybrid and virtual events, livestreaming, recording, and digital presentation platform where needed;
Coordinate with internal users, event organizers, vendors, contractors for A/V installations as well as ensure smooth execution;
Maintain inventory of A/V equipment (including accessories, cables, and spare parts), equipment logs, maintenance records, and incident reports;
Ensure proper cable management, equipment safety, and compliance with workplace safety standards;
Ensure A/V equipment is handled, stored, and operated safely;
Edit comprehensible user guidance for A/V equipment usage;
Performing any other duties or ad-hoc tasks as reasonably assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Multimedia Technology, Audio Engineering, Theatre and Entertainment Arts, Digital Music and Media or a related discipline;
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in A/V operations, event technical support, facility AV support, system integration, or 5 years related experience for certificate. Candidate with less experience will be considered;
Hands-on experience of the following: microphones, digital mixer console, amplifiers, speakers, displays, projectors, cameras, video conferencing systems, signal processors, video processors, LED wall systems, cabling and lighting control systems;
Knowledge of common A/V platforms and control systems such as Crestron, Q-SYS, Bright sign, Dante, DSP, or similar systems is an advantage;
Understanding of networking, signal flow, audio tuning, video routing, and troubleshooting methods;
Experience with live streaming and recording equipment is an advantage;
Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond calmly during live events or urgent technical issues;
Ability to read and interpret audio-visual schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts is a Plus but not necessary;
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays when events require support;
Fluent in Chinese and English
