Design for Asia Award – Free Design Seminar
Hong Kong Design Centre together with the Design Council of Hong Kong of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries are co-organising a seminar on 29 July 2010.

Design To Empower - Project on Learning to Design Thru Monster

The awards of “Most Creative Monster”, “Best Team” and "Best Visual Presentation" will be presented on the same day. The “monster” will be exhibited at InnoCentre from 8th July – 26th July 2010.

DesignEd Mart 2010 (Spring Edition)
Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, DesignEd Mart 2010 aims to establish a platform for schools, institutes and educational programmes in the field of or related to design, creative industries and innovation to showcase their educational opportunities offering. This year, DesignEd Mart will split into two events – the Spring Edition and the Summer Edition. The Spring Edition will include exhibition, seminars, and panel discussions, in a view to give secondary school students, educators, parents and those who are interested in creativity more in-depth information of various programmes in creative education.

RTHK TV Series - “Design Cities”

An 8-episode TV series named “Design Cities” will be aired starting 19 December. Through the eyes of nine young Hong Kong design practitioners from different design categories, the episodes feature eight design cities around the world and uncover the unique characteristics and elements, such as historical heritage, design culture, government-led initiatives, education and use of public space etc., that qualify these places as design cities, The eight cities include Shenzhen, Copenhagen, Kyoto, Barcelona, London, Bangkok, Berlin and Sao Paulo.
