Design competitions are acknowledged as important tools in promoting design awareness and in helping to develop creativity. In view of this, the HKDC runs a diverse awards program.

The DLA acknowledges the achievements of strong corporate leaders who have developed and applied design to achieve exceptional business success.

The Hong Kong Young Design Talent Awards is set up with a view to identify and encourage up-and-coming young practising designers and design students to undergo training and/or work attachment at reputable organizations abroad so as to broaden their horizon.

The WOCD aims to reach out to Chinese Designers across the globe, creating a pool of shared knowledge and experience based on common origins. The award recognises role models who can inspire young Chinese designers wherever they may be.
